Long-Term Growth
Our team crafted a website targeting adolescents and young adults in Baldwin City, KS. We designed five user flows, prioritizing user needs. The homepage features a captivating hero section and CTA button to foster youth and community engagement. This not only addresses the immediate online presence requirement but also positions BCK for sustained growth by fostering inclusivity and connection through events and resource sharing.

Many mock ups and color theory to integrate client requests of sky blue, earth and rainbow elements.
Used orange as an optimistic and uplifting, warm, social, welcoming, cheerful and assertive color as our primary button.
Business Interviews
I conducted stakeholder interviews to understand the needs of mentors aiming to engage the community and attract new members. This approach helped us align the design with their goals for effective communication and growth.
Member Interviews
I interviewed existing and Alumni members to understand their goals of connecting with peers and reaching those in need. This gave insight into potential new users and shaped our design choices.
Market Review
Analyzing similar non-profits helped us set benchmarks for performance and strategy, improving BCK United's online impact and user experience
Empathy Map
We combined insights from stakeholders, members, and the community using affinity mapping, focusing on a persona who champions inclusivity and support. This aligns new user and stakeholder needs for our empathy map.
Journey Map
UX Scenario Ben's friend confided in him about his mental health struggles, so Ben suggested he spend time with the BCK United community. His friend felt welcomed and was eager to meet like-minded people. When Ben later noticed his friend feeling down, he found it difficult to locate information about future events and resources. Fortunately, the BCK United website offered a schedule of events and coping resources for his friend to use.

User Testing
After wire framing each group member user tested a specific page. I did user testing on the Resources page.
Browse BCK Zine
Clickable Zine
Users immediately scrolled down the resource page and found the zine but struggled browsing the clickable booklet. We added tags and buttons to make this process more user friendly.
Access Resource Page
Multiple avenues
Resources were not immediately visible to the users on the main page so many users accessed the hamburger button or scrolled down the home page. We made sure to include links to the resources page from both locations.
Share BCK Zine
Share Button
Initially included only the word “share” as a button was difficult to find prior to adding a primary button color we also included a share icon as well included valuable information to explain what the Zine was to further increase conversion rates.
Userflow
Five main user flows include educating users about the organization's mission, providing information about upcoming events, providing resources for those in need, offering information on how to become a member and join meetings, as well as a donation page.
Wireframes
As a team we collaborated on low fidelity wireframes reviewing each and combining the best features and ideas into a medium fidelity wireframe you see here which I spent a significant amount of time on.
